BUDA, TX — Governor Greg Abbott announced on November 20 that US Foods, Inc. will expand its food distribution and warehousing facility in Buda, Texas, creating 165 new jobs and more than $120 million in capital investment.
According to a press release, US Foods, a major foodservice distributor, offers customers food products and business solutions. As part of the expansion, US Foods will receive a $1,072,500 Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant to support the project.
“This significant investment in Buda brings 165 new, good-paying jobs for hardworking Texans in Central Texas and highlights the strength of our state’s economy,” said Governor Abbott.
“I’m thrilled to see US Foods expanding in Buda, which not only represents business growth but also brings new opportunities to our community,” said Senator Donna Campbell. “This project is about strengthening Texas’s economy and investing in our future.”
US Foods has operated in Buda since 2011, and the expansion will boost its distribution capacity along the I-35 corridor.
