Three Car Crash Shuts Down 19th Street

LUBBOCK, TX — At about 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29th, a T-bone crash involving three vehicles, a white GMC Sierra, a black Chrysler 300, and a silver Buick Encore, occurred at the 6300 block of 19th Street.

All airbags were deployed in the Buick and Chrysler vehicles.

Check out the scene below:

It is not clear how the crash occurred, but our reporter on the scene said the silver Buick looked to be headed eastbound on 19th Street. It appears the Buick hit the Chrysler after the Chrysler made a left turn westbound on 19th Street, and both vehicles then hit the GMC Sierra truck.

Traffic heading east on 19th was completely blocked starting at the Milwaukee intersection, while traffic west on 19th Street was down to one lane.

The silver Buick SUV suffered significant damage to the entire front hood of the vehicle, as did the black Chrysler sedan. The extent of the injuries to either driver is unclear at this time.
