Motorcycle Crash Closes Eastbound South Loop 289

 

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Police Department's Major Crash Unit is actively investigating a serious collision that occurred earlier this morning near the intersection of South Loop 289 and University Avenue. The incident, involving a motorcycle, was reported at approximately 7:51 a.m.

One individual has sustained severe injuries and has been transported to University Medical Center by emergency medical services. 

In response to the accident, the eastbound lanes of South Loop 289 were temporarily closed, with traffic diverted at the University Avenue exit.

Authorities are working to gather more details about the collision and will provide further updates as soon as they become available.
