Crash on Chicago Halts Traffic on Friday Afternoon

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Police Department, Lubbock Fire Rescue, and other emergency services responded to a call of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Chicago Ave and 77th St on Friday afternoon, October 18.

The crash involved a black Dodge Charger and a Grey Nissan Rogue traveling North and Southbound on Chicago Ave. According to our reporter on the scene, the black charger failed to yield while making a left turn and caused the collision.

While both vehicles received significant front-end damage, there were no apparent injuries to either party. Emergency medical personnel checked out both drivers, but neither left the scene in the ambulance.

It is unknown at this time if any citation was issued to the driver of the charger. Traffic was halted at the intersection of 77th St, but detours around the accident are available.
