North Lubbock Car Crash Claims Lives of Two Men

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Police Department has identified the two individuals who passed away in a car crash on Saturday evening as Bobby Moreno, 38, and Cruz Moreno, 40.

Police received reports of a collision with injuries in the 4800 block of North Interstate-27 at approximately 8:37 p.m. on October 19. Upon arrival, officers found both men dead at the scene.

According to a press release, Bobby and Cruz traveled south in a vehicle with 20-year-old Briana Arredondo when an argument ensued. During the altercation, Cruz and Arredondo exited the car and began walking on the roadway, where they were struck by an SUV traveling in the same direction.

After the initial collision, Bobby exited the vehicle to check on the victims but was struck by a pickup truck also moving southbound.

Arredondo sustained minor injuries from the first collision and was taken to University Medical Center by a private vehicle.

The Lubbock Police Department's Major Crash Unit is actively investigating the incident.
