West Lubbock Crash Claims Life of Pedestrian

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating a fatal collision on Sunday evening, October 27, in West Lubbock.

Officers responded to reports of a collision with injuries in the 6100 block of 19th Street at 8:06 p.m. Initial findings suggest that La Ron Hamilton, 18, was driving an SUV eastbound in that area when he struck a pedestrian, Curtis Rosemond, 38, who was crossing the roadway.

EMS arrived at the scene but pronounced Rosemond deceased.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
