LUBBOCK, TX – A Lubbock man was killed Monday evening in a two-vehicle crash on County Road 1450, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Christopher Jarman, 39, was riding a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle northbound in the 900 block of CR 1450 at approximately 5:44 p.m. when he attempted to pass a 2015 Ford pickup that was turning left into a driveway. Jarman’s motorcycle collided with the truck, causing him to veer off into the west barrow ditch.
Emergency responders transported Jarman to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup, 32-year-old Brandon Conner of Lubbock, was uninjured in the crash and was wearing a seatbelt, authorities said.
The posted speed limit in the area was 60 mph, and road conditions were reported as dry with clear weather at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
