Bicyclist Injured in Crash Near 34th Street and I-27

 

LUBBOCK, TX — A bicyclist was seriously injured in a crash near 34th Street off I-27 on Wednesday morning.

According to a press release from the Lubbock Police Department, authorities responded to the scene at 8:02 a.m. on March 26, where they found one person with injuries.

Officers are still on-site, directing traffic around the area while the Major Crash Unit investigates the collision in the 700 block of 34th Street.

Authorities say the crash involved a bicyclist, who was transported by EMS to University Medical Center for treatment.

No further details on the injured person's condition have been released, but police are urging drivers to stay alert in the area.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
