Morning Rollover Crash on 98th Street Disrupts Traffic

LUBBOCK, TX — A rollover crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, on 98th Street near Miami Avenue.

The crash, which took place on the south side of 98th Street, reduced eastbound traffic to a single lane, causing early morning delays.

The incident involved a white Honda Civic traveling east on 98th Street. Our reporter at the scene noted that the blinding sun may have caused the driver to run over the curb, leading to the rollover and a collision with a telephone pole.

The Honda Civic sustained significant damage, including a shattered front windshield, front bumper damage, and damage to the driver's side. All airbags in the vehicle deployed.

An ambulance left the scene with its emergency lights off, suggesting no serious injuries were reported.

Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
