UPDATE: The Lubbock Police Department has released more details regarding the fatal crash that occurred on Milwaukee Ave on Saturday night.
"An investigation is underway by the Major Crash Unit, following a collision in South Lubbock that left one person dead," LPD said. "Lubbock Police were called to the 7700 block of Milwaukee Avenue at 9:20 p.m. on May 11th for a report of a collision with injuries between a car and a motorcycle. Upon arrival, officers located 43-year-old Willie Anderson, who was the driver of the motorcycle."
"Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene," the statement continued. "Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears Anderson was traveling south on Milwaukee when the motorcycle struck the back of a passenger car driven by 17-year-old Ethan Perez. Neither Perez nor the passenger in the car reported any injuries."
LUBBOCK, TX — One person was killed in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle Saturday night in the 7700 block of Milwaukee Avenue, according to the Lubbock Police Department.
