LPD Identifies Woman Seriously Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash

 

LUBBOCK, TX — A woman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in South Lubbock, according to police.

According to a press release, LPD officers were called to the scene just before 3 p.m. on May 28 near 114th Street and Miami Avenue. Investigators say the crash occured when a car pulled out of a private driveway and hit an SUV traveling east on 114th. That SUV then crashed into a second SUV.

The driver of the car, identified as Lindy Layman, 37, was taken to UMC with serious injuries. The driver of the first SUV was also taken to UMC with minor injuries. Two people in the second SUV were brought to the hospital by private vehicle, also with minor injuries.

Lubbock Police say the investigation is ongoing.
