Levelland Police Investigate Death of Man Found Lying in Road

LEVELLAND, TX — The Levelland Police Department reported that Gregorio Nathaniel Mendieta was found dead from a gunshot wound in the 1700 block of Wilson Street early Sunday morning.

A release stated officers responded to a call around 2:00 a.m. on Oct. 20 regarding a man lying in the road, where they discovered Mendieta deceased. 

Currently, no suspects are in custody, and the investigation remains ongoing.
