DPS Says Tip Led to Arrest of Dallas Drive-In Murder Suspect

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Public Safety announced the arrest of Adiah Roberson, a 17-year-old fugitive on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list, on October 22.

A tip submitted to Crime Stoppers made her capture possible, and a reward will be issued.

According to a press release, Roberson was arrested at an apartment complex in southeast Dallas after DPS Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents, working with the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio, followed up on the tip. They coordinated efforts with the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, alongside assistance from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Grand Prairie Police Department.

Roberson had been wanted out of Bexar County since July 2024 for allegedly shooting and killing a drive-in restaurant manager. She was also facing charges for forgery of a government document.

The Texas Crime Stoppers program offers cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of individuals on the Texas 10 Most Wanted list, including fugitives, sex offenders, and criminal illegal immigrants.

As of 2024, DPS and other agencies have arrested 39 individuals from these lists, including 14 sex offenders and 10 gang members, resulting in $24,000 in rewards paid for successful tips.

To be eligible for cash rewards, tipsters must provide information through one of the following methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a web tip via the DPS website by selecting the fugitive in question.
  • Use Facebook to submit a tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link in the “About” section.

All tips are anonymous, and tipsters will receive a tip number instead of having to provide their names.
