Nine Arrested in Lubbock Prostitution Sting at Tech Terrace

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Nine people were arrested on November 22 after a multi-agency prostitution sting in Lubbock's Tech Terrace neighborhood.

The nine-hour operation, which started at 9 a.m. at the 2500 block of 27th Street, involved officers from the Lubbock Police Department's East Division, Texas Department of Public Safety, and Lubbock Fire Rescue, with aerial support from the Lubbock Police Drone Unit.

The nine individuals arrested face various charges, including soliciting prostitution and narcotics offenses. 

The individuals taken into custody are listed below:

  • Christopher Jones, 48
  • Matthew Tanner, 32
  • Ruben Ramirez, 47
  • Kymberlee Simpson, 22
  • Peter Daley, 33
  • Jacob Mendez, 18
  • Holden Wright, 24
  • Mia Garcia-Vidaurre, 37
  • Wendaeza Phenix, 23

The Lubbock Police Department has not released details about the charges for each individual but said that the sting targeted both prostitution and drug-related crimes in the area.
