COLEMAN, TX — A Texas man has been charged with the production of child pornography after being identified by the FBI as “John Doe 49” in a dark web investigation.
According to the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas Leigha Simonton, Christopher Lynn Driskill, 48, was arrested on November 26 following a lengthy investigation. He was charged after FBI agents identified him from distinctive tattoos visible in child sexual abuse material posted online. Driskill was brought before U.S. Magistrate Judge John R. Parker on December 3.
The case began in July 2024 when the FBI’s Victim Identification Program was alerted to disturbing videos of a male subject sexually abusing a prepubescent male. The person, who was later identified as Driskill, had several visible tattoos, including “DABBY” on his chest, “197x” on his left bicep, “CAST NO STONES” on his left forearm, and a Texas flag on his right forearm.
In a separate incident, Driskill’s former partner reported to the Coleman Police Department in September 2024 that Driskill had confessed to molesting a child while intoxicated and recording the abuse.
Although the child did not make an outcry, Driskill initially denied the allegations when interviewed by police, and the case was closed due to a lack of evidence. However, the recorded interview with Driskill featured the same tattoos visible in the child abuse material.
After further investigation, FBI agents traced a public Instagram account linked to Driskill, whose profile picture matched the suspect’s appearance in the video. Agents coordinated with the Coleman Police Department and confirmed that Driskill’s face and tattoos matched those seen in the child abuse material.
Driskill was arrested and charged with the production of child pornography. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in federal prison.
