HOBBS, NM – A wanted man from Hobbs was arrested on Tuesday, January 14, after police tracked him down following a tip about his whereabouts.
At around 12:23 p.m., Hobbs Police officers located Roman Astorga, 34, near the intersection of Snyder and Leech Streets and arrested him without incident.
He was wanted on several charges, including Aggravated Burglary (1 count), Burglary (14 counts), Tampering with Evidence (13 counts), and Failure to Appear (3 counts).
According to a statement from the Hobbs Police Department, Astorga has a long criminal history. His previous offenses include multiple charges of Failure to Appear, Shoplifting, and Resisting an Officer, along with more serious charges like Burglary, Robbery, Battery Against a Household Member, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
Astorga is currently being held in custody. More information will be released as the investigation continues.
