LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Texas Anti-Gang Center teamed up with local and federal agencies to carry out a large-scale operation aimed at cracking down on gang activity and violent crime in the city.
The operation led to a series of arrests and the seizure of several dangerous items on February 21.
Listed below are the results from the operation:
- 17 felony arrests
- 17 misdemeanor arrests
- 14 felony warrants served
- 55 misdemeanor warrants served
- 2 firearms seized
- 18 bullets seized
- 2 grams of methamphetamine
- 1,758 ounces of marijuana
According to a press release, one of the major developments during the operation was the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a recent murder at 1202 Jarvis Street. Along with the suspect, two adults and a 12-year-old with a pistol were also arrested.
Additionally, TAG investigators responded to a robbery that led to another homicide, successfully arresting both murder suspects on February 22.
This operation was a team effort, working to reduce gang violence, says Lubbock TAG.
