Lubbock Police Searching for Suspect in Fatal Shooting

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is seeking the public’s help in finding 41-year-old James "Duce Capone" Bishop, a wanted man, in connection with a shooting incident on February 2.

According to Lubbock Police, officers were called to reports of shots fired around 1:00 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Baylor Street. When they arrived, they found Robert Johnson with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bishop, also wanted for a parole violation, is known to have recently been in the Dallas, Houston, and Austin areas. 

He is described as a 5-foot-9, 200-pound black male with black hair and brown eyes. Police say he is considered armed and dangerous.

The investigation into Johnson's death is still ongoing. 

Anyone with information on Bishop’s location is asked to call Crime Line at (806)-741-1000. Callers can remain anonymous.
