LUBBOCK, TX – A woman is in custody after a pursuit ended with a crash into a police vehicle in central Lubbock early Wednesday morning.

Police say Sierra Jimenez, 27, was driving a pickup truck when she crashed into two vehicles in the motel parking lot before fleeing the scene.

Shortly after, an officer located the pickup near North University and Auburn Street. The truck was missing a tire at the time, and when the officer tried to pull Jimenez over, she refused to stop and started a pursuit.

A Lubbock Police officer suffered minor injuries in the crash and was taken to University Medical Center by another officer. Jimenez also had minor injuries and was transported by EMS to UMC.

Once Jimenez was released from the hospital, she was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center. She faces several charges, including Aggravated Assault of a Public Servant, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Theft of a Firearm, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Criminal Mischief.
