Man Drags Woman with Car After Arm Clamped in Window, Police Say

LUBBOCK, TX — A Lubbock man is facing an aggravated robbery charge after allegedly pulling a gun on a woman before dragging her with her vehicle after rolling up the window into her armpit and fleeing the scene.

According to court documents, Nathan Lemon, 43, recently met the victim and asked to borrow her car at approximately 9:00 p.m. on April 26 to give a friend a ride. The victim agreed, but only for that specific purpose. Shortly after, Lemon stopped responding to the victim’s calls and text messages after asking to return the car, and the victim became concerned.

Two days later, on April 28 at around 3:30 p.m., the victim saw the car parked in the parking lot at the 1600 block of 66th Street. When she approached the vehicle on the passenger side door, she demanded that Lemon return the car to her and reached through the driver’s side window to try to unlock the door. Lemon pointed what appeared to be a firearm at her and demanded that she step away, and the victim refused.

Lemon then began rolling up the passenger-side window while the victim’s arm was still inside, causing pain as the glass pressed into her armpit. He then reversed the vehicle and dragged her a short distance until she was able to free her arm from the moving car. She fell to the ground, suffering additional injuries, and Lemon drove off in an unknown direction.

On April 29, at around 2:00 a.m., officers located the stolen vehicle in a parking lot near the 1600 block of Iola Avenue. Authorities watched the vehicle until two people entered the car a few moments later.

Officers detained the two individuals, who told police they had borrowed the car from Lemon and provided them with his whereabouts. One of the individuals stated Lemon was staying at their house and gave consent to enter when they arrived.

Officers found Lemon at the provided residence and arrested him without incident.

Nathan Lemon was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center for Aggravated Robbery, and his bond is set at $40,000.
