LPD Investigates Body Found in Central Lubbock

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Police Department is investigating a body found Thursday evening in a central Lubbock neighborhood.

According to a press release, officers and EMS were called to the 3400 block of 23rd Street around 5:55 p.m. on May 29. Emergency responders pronounced one person dead at the scene.

The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation. Police say the circumstances appear to be isolated and there is no known threat to the public.

No additional details about the deceased or the cause of death have been released at this time. 

The investigation is ongoing.
