Lubbock Fire Rescue Respond to Roof Fire on Redbud Avenue

 

LUBBOCK, TX – Lubbock Fire Rescue received a 911 call about a residential structure fire near the 200 Block of Redbud Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2024. The 911 caller advised that they saw smoke coming from the roof of a residence, according to a release.

Engine 5 was the first to arrive at the scene, finding a small, single-story residential structure with flames visible on the roof.

Crews then made entry for fire control and primary search. Upon making entry, crews recovered one animal that later passed away, reports state.

The fire was extinguished with zero reported injuries. 

The Lubbock Fire Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
