LUBBOCK, TX – Labor Day is here! Today, Monday, September 2, 2024, the U.S. celebrates the federal holiday honoring the hard work and achievements of American workers.

As people enjoy the long weekend, many businesses and services have adjusted their hours to accommodate the holiday.

Local Stores

  • Thriftique – The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The Mom Lounge – The business will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Comfort Zone 88 – Closed.
  • Whisk’d – Closed.
  • Orlando’s Italian Restaurant – Closed.
  • Caprock Cafe – Closed
  • Blue Sky (4th Street & 98th Street)  – The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • The Plaza (Both locations)  – The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Las Brisas Steakhouse - Closed.

Retail Stores

Most national retailers are open today, but some have shorter hours. Here’s a quick overview:

  • United Supermarket family stores – open regular hours.
  • H-E-B – open regular hours.
  • Walmart – open regular hours.
  • Sprouts – open regular hours.
