LUBBOCK, TX – Betenbough Companies has announced in a press release that Ron Betenbough, the company’s Patriarch and Co-Founder, passed away on August 28, 2024.
The release states that Betenbough was known for his visionary leadership, exceptional deal-making skills, and devotion to the Lubbock community.
Ron Betenbough dedicates the latter half of his life to its betterment.
This announcement follows the death of Rick Betenbough, son and another co-founder, who passed away on December 15, 2023, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Ron embarked on his real estate career in 1964, which influenced a passion that would define his legacy. In 1992, he and his son Rick founded Betenbough Homes to offer affordable, high-quality housing to families throughout West Texas.
Ron’s dedication to integrating faith with business left an enduring mark on Betenbough Companies, its employees, customers, and the community.
“Ron was more than just a savvy businessman and kind leader. His teachings transformed me both professionally and personally,” said CEO Jeanna Roach in the release.
“He truly embodied love, and his legacy of service and remarkable generosity will continue to shape Betenbough Companies for years to come.”
A service to celebrate Ron’s life and legacy will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 4:30 pm at Trinity Church on 7002 Canton Avenue.
