Traffic Changes on Indiana and Slide for Loop 88 Construction

LUBBOCK, TX – Starting Wednesday, September 18, 2024, traffic patterns on Indiana Avenue and Slide Road will change as construction begins on the new Loop 88 westbound frontage road, the Texas Department of Safety announced.

Traffic on Indiana Avenue will be rerouted to the western half of the intersection, while Slide Road traffic will move to the eastern half to facilitate the construction.

The DPS advises drivers to expect reduced lanes and potential delays. 

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during the six-week construction period.
