LFR Responds to Storage Unit Blaze

 

LUBBOCK, TX — On Thursday afternoon, just before 1 p.m., Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a 911 call regarding a structure fire near the intersection of Frankford Avenue and 130th Street. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Upon arrival, Engine 19 was the first unit on the scene and encountered a large single-story commercial building with visible smoke emanating from two rental storage units.

As the fire was located outside city limits, LFR indicated that control of the scene would be transferred to Lubbock County units. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
