Avenue R and V Closing September 30 for Repairs

LUBBOCK, TX – Starting Monday, September 30, 2024, West Infrastructure Construction LLC., in partnership with the City of Lubbock, will start the first pavement replacement project on North Overton Streets, according to a press release.

This construction will result in the complete closure of Avenue R from Glenna Goodacre Boulevard to 10th Street and Avenue V from Glenna Goodacre Boulevard to 9th Street. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during this time.

Appropriate signage and barricades will be set up around the work zone to ensure safety. The project is expected to last approximately three weeks, weather permitting.
