LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock-Cooper ISD issued an update and notice on the construction happening on Woodrow Road on Thursday.
"Construction crews will begin laying asphalt on the southern half of Woodrow Road (the portion that is currently closed off) tomorrow, Friday, September 27," Lubbock-Cooper ISD said.
Woodrow Road can become congested with traffic during the best of times, and the construction update may delay people trying to get to and from Lubbock-Cooper High School's campus.
"While the application should not drastically impact traffic, there will be times throughout the day when the four-way stop in front of Lubbock-Cooper High School is temporarily shut down," the statement continued. "The crews have informed us they will attempt to avoid arrival and dismissal times, but this is not guaranteed. Please be prepared for delays on Woodrow Road near the LCHS and LCMS campuses."
It is also important to know that Lubbock-Cooper has a home game tomorrow against Plainview out at Pirate Stadium at 7 p.m.
