LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Animal Services is urgently searching for foster homes for the remaining nine out of twenty puppies awaiting vaccination, spaying/neutering, and adoption. In addition, LAS needs medical fosters for three litters of very young nursing puppies, according to a recent press release.
As of Monday morning, eleven puppies are currently in foster care.
The City of Lubbock is encouraging pet owners to spay and neuter their animals to help address the growing population of stray and surrendered animals in the community.
The puppies were unexpectedly surrendered on Tuesday, September 24. Fortunately, all puppies appear to be healthy and well-socialized, and they will be adopted into new families when ready.
Anyone interested in fostering these puppies is encouraged to contact the Lubbock Animal Shelter at 806-775-2057.
