Code Field Exercise to Start in Parkway Neighborhood

LUBBOCK, TX—The City of Lubbock Code Administration Department will conduct a field exercise in the Parkway neighborhood on Wednesday, October 9, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

According to a city release, the exercise will occur within an area bordered by Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, East Erskine, Loop 289, and Parkway Drive. An established field office will be in the parking lot at 405 North Zenith Avenue.

This exercise is to identify violations related to junked vehicles, nuisance weeds and rubbish, substandard housing, and zoning regulations. Code inspectors will engage with residents, discuss city ordinances, cite violations, and potentially address any issues found during the exercise, stated the release.

Additionally, Solid Waste will provide a roll-off dumpster at the field office for residents to dispose of unwanted bulky items such as furniture, appliances, or tree branches.
