LUBBOCK, TX — Dillard’s newest store celebrated its grand opening at the South Plains Mall with a ribbon-cutting ceremony presented by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.

Dillard’s, a department store chain with apparel, shoes & accessories, beauty products & home goods, closed its other two stores and opened a larger store, combining the men's and women's stores under one roof. The consolidation of the stores put Dillard’s in a prime location at the South Plains Mall, taking over the previous Sears location that closed in late 2018. The new location is viewable from South Loop 289 and utilizes the vacant building and parking lot next to Premiere Cinemas.

Dillard’s is now located at the southwest corner of South Plains Mall, at 6002 Slide Road, Unit J (South Entrance). Its business hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
