City Invites Carved Pumpkin Donations for 16th Annual Trail

 

LUBBOCK, TX — In partnership with Reliant, the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation will host the 16th Annual Pumpkin Trail from October 17-20, 2024, at the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum. 

According to a press release, the Pumpkin Trail has attracted over 25,000 visitors, featuring over 1,800 pumpkins. To contribute, citizens can drop off their carved pumpkins on Wednesday, October 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The drop-off location will be outside the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum at 4111 University, on the east side of the parking lot. Look for signs marked “DELIVER PUMPKINS HERE.” The release notes to ensure that all pumpkin carvings are family-friendly.

In addition to the Pumpkin Trail, the community invites participants to the Pumpkin Carving Competition at Hodges Community Center on Tuesday, October 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

Registration for the competition is required by October 13 and is currently open at playlubbock.com.
