Vehicle Fire on 47th Street Almost Endangers Home

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to the 2300 block of 47th Street after receiving calls about a vehicle fire that threatened a nearby home.

When firefighters arrived at around 6:00 a.m., they found a car engulfed in flames, with the fire creeping dangerously close to the house and another vehicle in the driveway. The fire rescue crews managed to contain the fire to the vehicle, limiting smoke damage to the residence.

The Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office is now investigating what caused the fire, and no injuries were reported.
