LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Power and Light customers will soon notice a decrease in their energy bills. The utility company has announced a two percent reduction in delivery rates effective Friday, Nov. 1.
This marks the first rate reduction since Lubbock transitioned to a competitive energy market in the spring of 2024.
While LP&L no longer supplies energy directly to customers in Hub City, the company continues to handle the delivery of energy from customers' new providers to their homes.
Residents can expect to see these reduced delivery rates impact their upcoming bills.
LP&L anticipates further decreases in the delivery rate over the next few years.
