Lubbock Light Park Opens with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Light Park, the Hub City’s only drive-through Christmas light show, celebrated the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.

According to their website, Lubbock Light Park is a drive-through Christmas light show at South Plains Mall with hundreds of thousands of lights synched to music. Their hope at Lubbock Light Park is for families to create unforgettable memories during the Christmas season. Lubbock Light Park started in 2024, and they hope that this will become a staple event in the Lubbock community for years to come!

Admission to the light park is $30 per car, regardless of the number of people in the vehicle. For the full experience, Lubbock Light Park recommends tuning in to 88.9 for a six-song looping track as cars drive through the holiday lights.

Lubbock Light Park is located at 5801 W. Loop 289 in the west parking lot at the South Plains Mall (between The Home Depot and Premiere Cinemas). It is open from November 8 to December 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
