Meadowbrook Golf Course Closes For Upgrades

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department announced on Wednesday that Meadowbrook Golf Course will temporarily close on Thursday, December 26, as part of a transition to new management and facility upgrades.

The course is expected to remain closed through early February 2025, with a grand reopening anticipated in March 2025.

According to an announcement, Orion Golf, a new management company, will take over operations on January 1. The company will be responsible for all daily operations, including course maintenance.

The golf course will undergo a series of enhancements, improving the facility and overall player experience. Upgrades include a brand-new fleet of golf carts, a state-of-the-art John Deere maintenance equipment package to improve course conditions, and modern kitchen equipment to support an upgraded clubhouse experience. Other improvements include constructing a 10,000-square-foot storage building, updating the clubhouse, and revamping the driving range.

While the exact reopening date has not yet been confirmed, the City of Lubbock is optimistic that Meadowbrook Golf Course will be ready for golfers by early February 2025. A kick-off event and open house are scheduled for early March 2025. Additional details will be shared in the coming months, says the City of Lubbock.
