City of Lubbock Offices Closed for Christmas Holiday

 

LUBBOCK, TX – The City of Lubbock’s main offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, for the Christmas holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, December 26.

The schedule below is a list of closures for additional city facilities:

Solid Waste

  • West Texas Region Disposal Facility & Caliche Canyon Landfill
    • Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25
    • Full operations resume: Thursday, December 26

Residential Trash Collection

  • Residential collection will occur on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
  • Schedule Changes:
    • Friday's collection will occur on Thursday, December 26.
    • Thursday's collection will occur on Friday, December 27.
  • Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25.

Drop-Off Recycling Centers

  • Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25
  • Regular hours resume: Thursday, December 26

Lubbock Public Libraries

  • Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25
  • Closing Early: All locations will close at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 23
  • Regular hours resume: Thursday, December 26

Municipal Museums

  • Buddy Holly Center, Silent Wings Museum, and Garden and Arts Center
    • Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25
    • Regular hours resume: Thursday, December 26

Community Centers

  • Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25
  • Closing Early: All centers will close at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23

Burgess-Rushing Tennis Center & Safety City

  • Closed: Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25
  • Regular hours resume: Thursday, December 26
