LUBBOCK, TX — The Lubbock Police Department announced on Monday, Dec. 23, that Lieutenant Paige Fletcher graduated from the FBI National Academy as the first female officer from the LPD.
According to a press release from LPD, Fletcher was one of 257 law enforcement officers who graduated from the FBI’s 292nd training session in Quantico, Virginia. Lasting from September 29 to December 12, the session included officers from across the United States and 27 different countries. The group also included members from eight military organizations and five federal agencies.
Fletcher has been with the Lubbock Police Department since 2003.
"I am deeply grateful to my family and department for supporting my attendance at the FBI National Academy," Fletcher said. "The knowledge I gained will help me serve my department and the citizens of Lubbock as we continue to provide great service to our community."
The FBI National Academy is famous for its tough program focusing on leadership skills and advanced law enforcement tactics. Graduating from the academy is a huge achievement in Fletcher’s career and a proud moment for the Lubbock Police Department.
