LUBBOCK, TX — After nearly five years, the Baja-style Mexican restaurant Costa Vida will permanently close its doors at the south Lubbock location.
The restaurant opened back in August 2019 and serves tacos, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, nachos, and baja bowls.
The company shared the news through an email to its rewards members, announcing the closure and thanking customers for their support throughout the years.
“We have made the difficult decision to permanently close our doors at the Lubbock, TX location,” the company wrote in the email. “We have loved having you in our restaurant over the years.”
Costa Vida was initially rumored to close after the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the restaurant managed to remain open and continued to operate.
The Lubbock location’s last day of operation will be January 15. Customers are asked to visit and use any loyalty points or gift cards they may have before the closure date.
“We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Lubbock community for making us a part of their lives,” the company said in the email. “We hope to see you at another Costa Vida location soon.”
Fans of the Baja-style Mexican restaurant can still enjoy their favorite dishes at other locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and in College Station.
