Lubbock ISD Announces Two-Hour Delay

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock ISD has announced a two-hour delay for Thursday, January 9, due to the potential icy conditions on the roads, parking lots, and sidewalks.

Adjusted school start times for the day are below:

  • Elementary Schools: 9:45 a.m.
  • Middle Schools: 10:20 a.m.
  • High Schools: 10:15 a.m.

Buses will also be running on a two-hour delay.

Additionally, the Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees Workshop meeting, originally set for 7:30 a.m., has been pushed back to 8:00 a.m.

Students and parents should stay aware of the weather conditions and be careful when driving in the morning.
