Buddy Holly Center Honors "The Day the Music Died"

LUBBOCK, TX — The Buddy Holly Center will hold an event on Saturday to remember the 66th anniversary of the plane crash that took the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson, and pilot Roger Peterson.

The J.I. Allison House will also be open for free tours from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

At 2:00 p.m., there will be a guided tour of the Buddy Holly Gallery.
