Local Wing Spot Closes Abruptly After Two Years

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Wing Shack and Tap House has unexpectedly shut its doors.

Although the front door says “Temp Closed,” the restaurant announced its permanent closure on Monday morning in a social media post. “We have made the difficult decision to close this concept. Thank you for the past two years,” the post said.

The Hub City wing spot opened in June 2023 and quickly gained popularity in Lubbock. The owner of Wing Shack also operates other favorites in town, including Jake's, The Shack BBQ, The Amphitheater, and The Garden.

While the reason for the closure was not shared, but the post thanked the community for its support during the restaurant’s time in Lubbock.

Wing Shack and Tap House is located at 5412 Slide Road.
