Lubbock to Test Outdoor Warning System Friday Morning

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock will test its Outdoor Warning System this Friday, February 14, at 9:30 a.m.

The test will last for three minutes and activate the sirens around the city. This is just a test, and no severe weather is expected.

The city does these tests on the second Friday of every month. However, if the National Weather Service predicts a 10% or higher chance of thunderstorms, the test will be canceled and will not be rescheduled.
