LUBBOCK, TX — Dave’s Hot Chicken, Lubbock’s newest hot chicken joint, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony presented by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce.
Watch the ribbon-cutting ceremony below:
The highly anticipated and extremely popular chicken restaurant in Lubbock has been in the rumor mill for a couple of years. On January 17, the hot chicken joint opened its doors.
According to its website, Dave's Hot Chicken began as a street food venture in East Hollywood in 2017. Known for its jumbo Hot Chicken Tenders and Sliders, the restaurant serves sides of house-made Kale Slaw, mac' n cheese, and crispy, seasoned French Fries. It offers seven different spice levels, ranging from "No Spice" to "Reaper" (which requires a signed waiver for those who dare). Each piece of juicy, hand-breaded chicken is spiced to order.
The hot chicken’s popularity in Los Angeles caught the attention of Canadian rapper Drake, who became a major investor in the brand in 2021.
Since then, the chain has expanded worldwide with over 180 locations across the U.S., Canada, and the Middle East, and now West Texas can proudly claim one of its own.
Dave’s Hot Chicken is located at 6309 82nd Street and is open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
