Fire Engulfs Home and Vehicle in Lubbock County, No Injuries

 

LUBBOCK, TX — A structure fire broke out early Tuesday morning at around 6:10 a.m. in the 1900 block of N County Road 1460.

According to a press release from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, the fire caused significant damage to a house and a vehicle on the property. All residents evacuated safely, and no injuries have been reported.

Fire departments from Idalou, New Deal, Wolfforth, Woodrow, and Carlisle responded to the scene. By 8:15 a.m., the fire was under control and contained to the property, though it was not yet fully out.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but high winds are believed to have contributed to how fast the fire spread.
