Lubbock Code Dept. to Conduct Sweep in Arnett Benson Area

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock’s Code Administration Department will conduct a neighborhood sweep in the Arnett Benson area on Wednesday, March 12.

A City of Lubbock press release states the sweep will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the area bordered by Clovis Highway, University Avenue, 4th Street, and Indiana Avenue.

A field office will be set up at the corner of Amherst and Indiana in Rodgers Park. People can get information about the Code Administration’s work and other city services. A roll-off container will also be available for residents to drop off bulky items they need to get rid of.

The sweep is to find and address violations like junk vehicles, weeds, trash, substandard housing, and zoning problems.

Code inspectors will talk to residents, offer information about these issues, issue citations if needed, and work to fix violations during the day, according to the release.
