Two Roads to Close for Repairs Starting March 17

LUBBOCK, TX—The City of Lubbock announced two roads will close for repairs starting Monday, March 17.

According to a press release from the City of Lubbock, Canyon Lake Drive will be closed while Fuqua Inc. works on fixing a sewer line for the City’s Water Utilities Department.

The section that will be closed goes from the north side, just east of the boat dock, to the south entrance of the cemetery.  The closure will last about two weeks, weather permitting.

In addition, part of Zenith Avenue will also be closed for repairs to a sanitary sewer manhole.

This will affect the area from East 1st Place to East Auburn Avenue. The closure is expected to last around three weeks, says the release.

The city advises drivers to be cautious in construction zones and find other routes to avoid the closures.
