Firefighters Battle Sunday Night Blaze in South Lubbock

 

LUBBOCK, TX — A fire near 98th Street and Avenue P broke out at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Lubbock Fire Rescue, firefighters found two homes fully engulfed in flames, spreading the fire to a nearby warehouse.

LFR used aerial trucks and handlines to control the fire, and county firefighters focused on the warehouse. Fire departments from Woodrow, Slaton, and Buffalo Springs also helped with the response.

The fire was put out, and no injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
