Fire Displaces Residents at SW Lubbock Apartment Complex

 

LUBBOCK, TX — Fire crews responded to the Parkridge Place Apartments near 50th Street and Bangor Avenue on Sunday night after a fire broke out beneath an apartment building in southwest Lubbock.

Firefighters arrived at around 9:30 p.m., where they found flames coming from underneath the building and began evacuating residents. Crews had to cut holes in the floor of the apartment to access the fire.

According to reports, nine people, including three children, were displaced from their apartments.

Lubbock Fire Rescue confirmed that there were no injuries in the incident. 

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
