Lane Closures on Indiana Avenue Begin Today for Two Projects

LUBBOCK, TX — Drivers should expect delays on Indiana Avenue starting Thursday, May 8, as two separate construction projects will close lanes in different parts of the city.

According to a press release, the left northbound lane will be closed north of 34th Street so crews can work on a water line. Grady Crawford with Barricades Unlimited is managing the project, which is expected to wrap up by May 16, weather permitting.

Further south, another closure will affect the right northbound lane of Indiana Avenue just north of 130th Street. Crews from MH Civil will install concrete drainage systems, and the work is scheduled to continue through July 31.

The City of Lubbock asks drivers to take alternate routes, stay alert, and allow extra travel time in these areas.
